The National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOCK) has endorsed former Olympic athletics gold medallist Kip Keino to serve as interim chairman of the committee following the resignation of Charles Mukora.
The decision to endorse Keino was made by NOCK's executive committee on Wednesday, but individual sports bodies affiliated to NOCK are still free to propose other candidates for the post if they do not support Keino.
Mukora quit membership of the International Olympic Committee on January 27th and NOCK's chairmanship on February 2nd following the votes-for-favours scandal at IOC.
