DECLAN KIDNEY has selected a 37-man panel for the next Ireland training camp in Limerick from August 16th-19th. The Limerick session is the second of three scheduled to take place during July, August and September.
The July session contained players who were involved in the summer tours to North America and the Churchill Cup in May and June as well as a selection of senior players who were not included.
Players selected on the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa will make a return to the squad as will some British-based players such as Leicester captain Geordan Murphy and Ospreys’ Tommy Bowe.
“The Belfast camp was productive in that we were able to continue to work with the players and pick up where we left off from the summer tour and the Churchill Cup,” said Kidney. “A lot of players are being given the opportunity and from that point of view as well, we were happy with the spread of the players we were in contact with in Belfast.”
