CHRISTY RING CUP - Kildare 5-16 Armagh 0-13:A STRONG second-half display at Keady on Saturday ensured Andy Comerford's Kildare secured a home venue for next weekend's quarter-final tie.
Adrian McAndrew and Michael Divilly converted two goals during the first half, but Armagh proved up to the challenge and the visitors only led by three points at the interval - 2-6 to 0-9.
After the break, however, Kildare stepped up a gear and David Harney hit the net from a penalty to tighten their grip on the game. And when Divilly scored his second goal of the game midway through the second period, the match was over as a contest.
Substitute Niall Dolan grabbed Kildare's third goal.
