Although Maynooth hit the front twice during the early stages yesterday, thanks to points from Damien Scallan and Eddie Walsh, UCC never lost the lead after successive frees from Richie Flannery and John Murphy as they earned their place in the semi-finals.
Maynooth were awarded a penalty in the 20th minute, but Derek Hardiman's low shot was stopped by goalkeeper Richie O'Neill and cleared by Flannery.
UCC began the second half with a 0-6 to 0-4 advantage and within seven minutes scores from John Murphy and Flannery increased the lead to five points.
The Cork side were much stronger in the second half and could afford to record 16 wides.
Maynooth managed a couple of scores in the third quarter, but Stiofan Fitzpatrick converted a sideline cut and Maynooth never got the goal they needed to threaten Cork's supremacy.
