Wales forward Mark Rowley has resigned himself to missing next week's Five Nations finale against England in Cardiff.
The Pontypridd lock broke his left wrist playing against Welsh League title rivals Swansea yesterday, and medical advice is that he will be sidelined for a month.
"My hand went over the ball on the floor, and then sprang back. The wrist is definitely fractured."
Rowley, who won the first of his five caps against world champions South Africa in December, joins a lengthening Welsh injury list.
Out half Arwel Thomas sees a surgeon at Swansea's Morriston Hospital today to gauge the full extent of knee ligament damage, while Cardiff prop David Young suffered an ankle injury during a league match on Saturday.
They are the latest victims, following wing Leuan Evans (hamstring), prop Christian Leader (knee) and replacement front row man Lyndon Mustoe (knee).
Thomas said. "I have a brace on the knee and I'm on crutches to take weight off the area when I am walking."
