Cycling:The Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) has confirmed that American cyclist Floyd Landis has appealed against the stripping of his 2006 Tour de France title.
Landis was banned for two years in September by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) after a French laboratory found traces of synthetic testosterone in a sample provided by the rider during the Tour.
Meanwhile, former Tour of Spain winner Roberto Heras plans to return to professional cycling when he completes a two-year ban for testing positive for EPO later this month.
The former Liberty Seguros rider tested positive in the penultimate stage of the 2005 Tour of Spain when he was on his way to a record fourth triumph.
