Munster IHC/Tipperary 0-19 Limerick 1-12: Ten points from full forward Pat Lawlor sent Tipperary through to the Munster intermediate hurling semi-final as they overcame Limerick at Semple Stadium yesterday.
Lawlor struck five from play to help steer his team past a determined Limerick outfit spurred on by former senior player Mark Keane.
Tipperary led at the interval by 0-7 to 0-5 but it was a blistering start to the second half that laid the foundations for victory.
Lawlor grabbed three in quick succession to send the home team clear.
A Mark Keane goal from a free two minutes from time brought Limerick back into contention but they had too much to do and Tipperary held out for the win, Lawlor supplying a further two points to make sure of victory.
