Seeking their first win in the Champions League group stages since September 2003, Lazio will also hope to recover from Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Fiorentina, their fourth successive defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.

The result saw Lazio drop to 15th in Serie A, 15 points adrift of leaders Internazionale.

Bremen, who beat Lazio 2-1 last month, enjoyed a 1-0 home victory over Hansa Rostock. The result lifted them to third in the Bundesliga, four points behind leaders Bayern Munich.

The visitors will be without midfielder Torsten Frings, who has a knee injury.

In the group's other match, leaders Real Madrid travel to Olympiakos. Real came from behind to beat 10--man Olympiakos 4-2 last month. They are Spain's league leaders despite a 2-0 defeat at Sevilla on Saturday.

Olympiakos must do without the suspended Vassilis Torosidis and injured duo Cristián Raúl Ledesma and Paraskevas Antzas.

The Greek side will have the advantage of having their fans behind them at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium - their previous Group C home fixture, against Lazio was played behind closed doors as a punishment for crowd disturbances last season.
