Lazio stayed top of the Serie A after scoring three times in six minutes to beat Lecce 4-2 yesterday, while Juventus leapfrogged over both Milan teams into provisional second place.
Striker Cristiano Lucarelli gave Lecce a surprise lead and the southerners held out until the 26th minute when Lazio defender Giuseppe Pancaro levelled with a header from a Sinisa Mihajlovic corner.
Yugoslav midfielder Dejan Stankovic then took the match in hand, scoring in the 30th and 32nd minutes to give Lazio a decisive lead.
Lucarelli pulled one back just a minute later after his shot took a deflection off Paolo Negro, but his team's second half pressure failed to yield an equaliser and Simone Inzaghi notched Lazio's fourth in stoppage time.
It was a frustrating day though for Juventus, who drew 1-1 at Bari after dominating the match and missing a host of scoring opportunities.
Juventus looked set to take all three points following a 21st minute goal from defender Gianluca Pessotto, only for Bari's Gionatha Spinesi to squirt a free-kick through the wall in the 86th minute.
The Turin club move into provisional second place, one point clear of both Inter Milan and also AC Milan, who won Saturday night's derby 2-1.
But they could yet be overtaken by AS Roma on goal difference if Fabio Capello's men were to win their night match away to Torino.
But if there was disappointment for Juventus, there was a disaster waiting for Fiorentina as they crashed to a 2-0 defeat at Piacenza, leaving coach Giovanni Trapattoni considering quitting.
Argentina striker Hernan Crespo twice gave Parma the lead against Reggina but the southern club twice fought back to earn a 22 draw.
Udinese cruised to a 3-0 victory at Cagliari thanks to two goals from striker Roberto Muzzi, while Bologna's home game with Verona finished 0-0.
