Sligo Rovers v Derry City/Tonight, Showgrounds, 7.45:Sligo Rovers, rejuvenated this season under manager Paul Cook, look to get back to winning ways at home to north-west rivals Derry City tonight.
Cook's side had been in superb form recently but their good work was undone when crashing out of the FAI Cup 11 days ago after a dramatic penalty shoot-out defeat to Waterford. That loss was then compounded last week when Sligo lost 2-0 on their travels in Galway.
Despite the fact tonight's opponents won in the Showgrounds earlier this season, Cook is anything but disheartened as he prepares to face a team unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions.
"I want the supporters to generate a cup tie atmosphere and to show that despite the fact that we've had a bad week on the pitch, they are still behind the players who have been magnificent," he said.
"We are joint fifth in the league and level on points with Bohemians and Cork. We have a chance to get into Europe and we must try to ensure we have something to play for in the remaining matches."
Cook plans without the suspended Séamus Coleman, while visiting manager John Robertson is missing Mark McChrystal who has a broken bone in his foot. Sean Hargan could return after ankle trouble.
