Watch out Se Ri Pak! The South Korean who took the LPGA by storm last year may find that she has a challenger for supremacy within her own country in a few years time from a player currently honing her game in Ireland. Twelve-year-old Kyung-Hae Lee won the under-19 category in the finals of the Chiquita Longest Drive Challenge at Milltown on Sunday. The 14-handicapper, who has joined Castle since moving to Dublin, had already come through local and regional qualifying before taking top honours with a shot of 191 yards. There was double success for the host club when Judith O'Sullivan won the under-50 category with a 243-yard effort and Rhona Fanagan took the over-50s with 195.

The longest shot of the day came from Delgany six-handicapper Alan Mulford, who won the men's under-19 category with a prodigious blow of 280 yards. Jim Geraghty (Woodbrook) was only marginally shorter to take the under-50 prize with 279, and Caoimhin Mangan (Castle) won the over-50 section with 268.

Each player was allowed three drives at the third hole in Milltown and only shots finishing on the fairway were valid.
