WIMBLEDON bounced back from their FA Cup semi final disappointment to end a run of eight Premiership games without a win and keep their European hopes flickering.
Goals by reserve striker Dean Holdsworth and substitute Stewart Castledine gave them a deserved victory over a lethargic Leeds side at Selhurst Park and lifted them to seventh place in the table above Sunday's cup conquerors Chelsea.
Holdsworth, making only his 13th start of the season in place of broken wrist victim Efan Ekoku, struck his seventh goal of the campaign in the 18th minute.
He beat Nigel Martyn on the goalkeeper's near post after neatly eluding defender David Wetherall to make the most of what was no more than a half chance after, Alan Kimble's pass left him tight to the byline.
Castledine, who replaced skipper Vinnie Jones early in the second half following a bizarre yellow card mystery, wrapped up the points with a diving header 16 minutes from time after Martyn's save denied the energetic Holdsworth his second goal of the game.
