Leinster will not be making public their Heineken European Cup squad until next week. Although both Ulster and Munster released squads last Thursday to keep within the ERC deadline, Leinster have submitted their squad within the deadline but will not announce it until Monday.
With a number of injuries to key players such as Denis Hickie, Niall Treston, John Lyne, James Norton, Kieran Lewis and Leo Cullen, some familiar names will not be included, although one that will be is that of outhalf Felipe Contepomi. The Argentinian arrives in Dublin on Tuesday and, subject to being healthy, is set to play for Leinster immediately.
Former All Black Christian Cullen, who arrived in Cork last Sunday, will not be available for Munster until a shoulder injury clears up. The full back injured himself towards the end of his final NPC match for Wellington several weeks ago and there is speculation he may be out of action for up to eight weeks.
Munster, however, are awaiting a second medical report, which will not be available until next week, and only then will have a clear picture of how long he might be out for.
