Leinster are to cite Newport tighthead Adrian Garvey following an incident during Friday night's Celtic League quarter-final at Donnybrook.
The Leinster claim, which they intend to support by video evidence, is that the former Springbok international is alleged to have stamped on Leinster outhalf Nathan Spooner at a ruck in the second half.
Newport were informed of the Leinster decision at lunch-time yesterday and within a few hours had intimated that they were considering citing Spooner for a high tackle on Matt Mostyn and Trevor Brennan for a high tackle on Garvey.
