Dunmurray's Paul Leonard coasted to a seven-shot victory in the Efteling European Trophy at Efteling theme park, Holland, yesterday.
The 53-year-old owed his first success as a senior to a new putting technique using a cut-down "broomstick" putter with a split-handed grip.
Leonard said: "I can't believe this has happened. I had been playing well but my putting was a nightmare. I really had the yips. So I had to do something drastic and returned to a style I used 20 years ago on the European Tour."
He shot a two-under-par 70 to leave him ahead of the pack. The only race left was for second place where fellow Irishmen Denis O'Sullivan (70) and Liam Higgins (69) were joined by Neil Coles (69) and Maurice Bembridge (71), tied on five-under-par 211.
