The Welsh Rugby Union is buying Llanelli's Stradey Park ground for £1.25 million to help the club pay off its crippling debts. Llanelli's liabilities total more than £800,000 and the only way for them to get back into the black is to sell its major asset. Llanelli will lease the ground for 25 years and wants an option to then be able to buy it back.
Meanwhile, Wales's international against New Zealand at Wembley on November 16th has been switched to November 29th, the day England take on South Africa at Twickenham.
Australia are locked in a wrangle with Scotland over how much they will receive for playing at Murrayfield on November 22nd. The Scots have offered £50,000, but the Australians want £300,000.
