Llanelli v Ulster:A couple of revelations can be garnered from this Ulster team. Firstly, coach Mark McCall has clearly decided to persist with Tommy Bowe as an outside centre and Matt McCullough at blindside flanker. They brought in foreign cover at wing and lock anyway.
Secondly, McCall rates Paddy Wallace, Bryan Young and Stephen Ferris enough to throw them back into the mix after a strictly watching brief at the World Cup. Oh, they were tackle bags at training and Wallace was capped for a 30 second cameo against Namibia but their last hit out (excluding Young) was against Scotland at Murrayfield on August 11th. Ferris, too, is back in his more natural number eight slot. Roger Wilson drops to the bench so Isaac Boss is handed the captaincy for the first time.
Ulster forwards should put up a better resistance than Leinster, with Justin Harrison and Carlo Del Fava making up a solid engine room and Neil McMillan holding off underage sensation David Pollack at openside flank.
Llanelli are in fine form and are hard to oppose.
