Jonah Lomu yesterday warmed up for the first Test against England on Saturday with an ominous warning to chill the tourists' blood.
New Zealand's celebrated wing has seen off Auckland colleague Joli Vidiri by proving his fitness after recovering from a foot injury which ruled him out of the Super12 final and All Black trial.
The All Blacks continued their preparations at Queenstown yesterday, a mountainous winter retreat some 200 miles from Dunedin, where Lomu was declared fit.
"Jonah has done what was required, and we are quite pleased with his progress," said New Zealand coach John Hart. "I am very proud of him, and he will start on Saturday."
"I have got my foot on the accelerator pedal and I intend keeping it there," was his greeting for the tourists.
