Limerick ... 2-20 London ... 0-04There was never any disputing Limerick's authority in this dreadfully one-sided Division 2A game, played before 250 supporters at the Gaelic Grounds.
The visitors struggled from the start to match the teamwork and individual skills of their opponents, and the issue was more or less settled in the first 15 minutes when Johnny Murphy, Muiris Gavin, Stephen Kelly and John Quane had put up eight points.
The midfield pairing of Quane and Galvin eclipsed London's Diarmuid Slattery and James Carmody and it was one-way traffic toward goalkeeper Steve Walls.
Michael Reidy netted a penalty on 30 minutes to leave it 1-13 to 0-1 at the break, and within 13 seconds of the restart Stephen Kelly got the second goal.
