Two first-half goals by Jimmy Wilson and Joe Quinn paved the way for Antrim's seven-point win in a scrappy game at Ruislip yesterday. While this result means that London remain firmly rooted to the foot of the table, Antrim's future looks no less secure, despite winning their first points of the campaign.
The rough-and-tumble nature of the contest resulted in three players being sent to the line for over-zealous tackles - London's Stephen Kane and Andy Carr and Antrim's Joe Quinn.
London have only themselves to blame for yet another setback, with the three goals conceded coming from defensive errors, although it is to their credit that they kept plugging away in what always looked like a hopeless situation, with Tommy Maguire, Barry McDonagh, Shane Trench and Barry Cox trying hard to bring their team back into it.
Antrim introduced three substitutes, with Gearoid Adams adding strength to the half back line when he replaced Gerry McCarren 12 minutes into the first half.
