Downpatrick preview: Fresh from "tickling" up the bookmakers at Cheltenham over the weekend, JP McManus could administer similar treatment to bookmakers in the North of Ireland today where he has runners in all but one of the seven races on the programme and if lady luck is riding with him, he could have as many as five winners.
Christy Roche has the JP banker in the shape of Lost Time (3.20) who looks a couple of classes above his rivals in the Beginners' Chase having won two hurdle races at Fairyhouse and Sligo back in the spring.
Roche also produces the ex-Aidan O'Brien-trained Coconut Beach (1.50) for his third hurdle appearance even if it seems highly improbable that JP will be doing his punting here with the race sponsors, namely the Downpatrick Tote.
Roche's last runner of the day in the famous colours will be Big And Easy (3.50) who attracted support in a winners' race at Tipperary last year that was won by Sweet Kiln.
Charlie Swan with Sounds Good (12.50) and Niall Madden with Team Allstar (2.20) are other trainers bidding to contribute to the day's tally but for the nap the most significant pointer is the fact that the race in which JP has no runner is the Joe Rea Memorial Handicap Chase.
The one to be on here is Paul Carberry's mount Eden Royale who won comfortably at Naas.
