Ger Loughnane has confirmed Tony Considine will not be part of the Galway management for the 2008 season.
Loughnane will be joined on the sideline next season by assistant manager Seán Treacy and Clareman Louis Mulqueen, who trains the team, also fulfilling roles as selectors.
Brendan Lynskey and Mike Murray have stepped down as selectors having served with Loughnane in his first season in charge.
Loughnane's management team was ratified at a meeting of the Galway Hurling Board on Tuesday night. Loughnane was not at the meeting and his selectors were ratified without discussion.
Galway Hurling Board secretary John Fahey confirmed Loughnane would be going with just two selectors next year. "It is all systems go now as the preparations begin in earnest for next year," said Fahey.
Galway are looking for a new minor hurling manager after Seán Connolly stepped down on Tuesday night. He had been ratified to continue for a second year a few weeks ago but has decided to step down after being appointed principal of St Brigid's Vocational School in Loughrea.
Clubs have now been asked to propose contenders for the vacant position.
Meanwhile, Galway footballer Pádraic Joyce has been chosen as the Connacht GAA Writers' Personality of the Month for October after his outstanding display for his club Killererin in their Galway senior football final win over Milltown.
