League of Ireland Premier Division/ Sligo Rovers 2 Longford Town 1: "Luck is shining on us at the moment," was Paul Cooke's reaction after Sligo Rovers recovered from a forgettable showing in the first half to dig out a hard-earned victory at the Showgrounds on Saturday night.

Fahrudin Kudozovic bagged his fifth league goal of the season as the Reds kept their good run going against bottom-of-the-table Longford Town.

Kudozovic scored from the penalty spot in the 58th minute after Seán Prunty brought down Brian Cash to square the match.

Raphael Cretaro then gave Cooke's side the lead in the 66th minute with a cracking headed goal from a pinpoint cross by Judge.
