Newtown Blues' retained the Joe Ward Cup in the Louth senior football championship at the Gaelic Grounds, Drogheda yesterday. Newtown Blues led 8-4 at half-time and inspired by Keith Lynch, widened the gap as the half wore on. An Anthony Donaghy goal on the stroke of full time signalled the start of the celebrations.
