EQUESTRIAN:The highlight of a successful weekend on the continent for Irish riders was Denis Lynch's victory on Lantinus in yesterday's Grand Prix in Dresden.
Sixteen combinations made it through to the jump-off and the Tipp man landed the first prize of a Mercedes C Class car when beating Italy's Giulia Martinengo Marquet and Athletica by nearly one and a half seconds. Lynch placed sixth in the day's earlier two-phase event with Hello Popsie and on Saturday night took the speed class with Ulsilon d'Ocquier.
Cameron Hanley was also in action at the three-star German event and won Friday's speed class on SIEC Aristo, placing third the following afternoon on SIEC Livello in the 1.50m jump-off event.
