Macedonian coach Gjoko Hadzievski has included five of the team that beat the Republic of Ireland when they last visited Skopje two years ago in his panel for next Saturday's game in the city.

Igor Nikolovski, Vlatko Gosev, Artim Sakiri, Gjorgi Hristov and Dzevdet Sainovski, all of whom started in the 3-2 defeat for Mick McCarthy's side, are included again although Mitko Stojkovski who scored two of the home side's goals that day, is not.

That win is clearly still prominent in the thoughts of Hadzievski who told local journalists: "The Irish have great individuals from strong English sides. But we beat them once, two years ago when they underestimated us. Now they'll come for revenge, but we have players who know how to play and with patriotism and great crowd support we can win again."

New England manager Kevin Keegan yesterday ended Blackburn striker Chris Sutton's international exile by calling him into the squad to face Poland in the European Championships at Wembley, and insisted: "Everyone deserves a second chance." Sutton fell out of favour with Glenn Hoddle after refusing to play in a B international against Chile 13 months ago.
