Ilco Naumoski set the ball rolling for Mirsad Jonuz’s side three minutes before half-time and Vance Šikov assured them of victory on the hour.

It marked a measure of revenge for the away side, who took just a solitary point from Andorra in their two 2006 World Cup qualifiers.

Naumoski broke the deadlock with a clinical header from Vlade Lazarevski’s corner.

José Antonio Gómes prevented another replacement, Agim Ibraimi, adding a third three minutes from time, but the damage had been done, leaving Macedonia in high spirits ahead of the visit of Russia on Tuesday.
