Marcus O'Sullivan ran into the history books last night when he became only the third man in history to run 100 subfour minute miles in the annual Millrose Games meeting in Madison Square Garden in New York.O'Sullivan, competing in his 13th Wanamaker Mile, the prestigious event which he has won five times, clocked three minutes 58.10 seconds to finish third behind Kenya's Laban Rotich (3:55.0) and Paul McMullan (3:57.0)."This is the sweetest mile of them all," O'Sullivan said after he joined one of the most elite clubs in athletics. Only New Zealand's John Walker, the Olympic 1,500 metres champion in Montreal in 1976, and America's Steve Scott have reached this milestone.Earlier, Mark Carroll had claimed his third consecutive 3,000 at the meeting, clocking 7:49.38.
