NUI Maynooth 1-14 Belfast MC 1-8: Maynooth held Belfast Metropolitan College scoreless for the last 10 minutes to win yesterday's Sigerson Cup encounter at the NUIM grounds.
The home side went a goal up in the first minute when Francis McGee's free was palmed home by Nigel Dunne. Two scores off placed balls from McGee stretched Maynooth's lead to 1-5 to 0-3 at the break.
A Patrick Dorris goal put BMC back in contention on 34 minutes but the visitors were reduced to 14 men when Niall Lennon was sent to the line for a second yellow card on 41 minutes.
