The Cliftonville all-rounder, Kyle McCallan, has been dropped from the Ireland team for next week's third round NatWest Trophy match against Leicestershire at Castle Avenue by being given a one-game suspension.
McCallan is suspended for playing for his club, Cliftonville, last Sunday, thereby dropping out of the North team which lost to Munster in the Interprovincial Championship in Cork.
McCallan's omission marks the only change compared to the team which defeated the Essex Board X1 at Comber last month. His place has gone to Paul Mooney of The Hills.
McCallan has been named in the 13-man squad for the Triple Crown campaign. Peter and John Davy of Pembroke are the only other additions in that squad.
Gerald Dros, Ireland's overseas player this season, is not eligible for the Triple Crown series.
