John McEnroe is to play one of his last competitive matches against Bjorn Borg at the ATP Tour of Champions in Dublin's Point theatre next month. Borg last week announced that he would come out of retirement to play for the KPMG Senior title, which was won by McEnroe at the same venue last year.

The draw for the tournament was announced yesterday and has paired long time adversaries Borg and McEnroe in the same group. They meet on the first evening session of the four-day tournament on Thursday February 22nd, followed by the all-French affair of Guy Forget and Henri Leconte.

Pat Cash, the 1987 Wimbledon champion, is part of the opening game in Group B earlier in the afternoon, when he faces Czech player Jakob Hlasek. Mikael Pernfors and Jeremy Bates follow that clash in the opening game of Group A.

The eight players will contest two groups on a round-robin basis, with the final taking place on Sunday afternoon, preceded by the third/fourth place playoff. Ticket information is available from The Point (836 3633).
