Shiela McNulty of Co Down was honoured with life presidency of the association at the annual congress at Annar Hotel in Thurles over the weekend.

McNulty, who first took office in 1925 when she became secretary of the Betsy Gray Club, Warrenpoint, received the honour in recognition of her valuable contribution to the sport.
