Division Two B/Meath 1-18 Louth 0-10: Meath extended their unbeaten run with an impressive second-half performance against Louth in Drogheda yesterday.
The home side went into a 0-4 to no score lead inside 10 minutes but Trevor Giles got Meath off the mark and they went on to kick four without reply to level the game midway through the first half.
Louth recovered to lead by a point at the break but a different Meath side emerged for the second half and Louth never looked like pegging them back after they took the lead six minutes in.
The result could have been much worse for Louth were it not for the heroics of goalkeeper Shane McCoy who saved a Joe Sheridan penalty with the game over as a contest on 62 minutes.
Sheridan bagged the only goal of the game after a mix-up in the Louth defence sent him clear.
