Mercy, Woodford created history when they won the Connacht Colleges Senior B Hurling championship title for the first time after they defeated holders, Garbally, Ballinasloe in the final played at Duggan Park, Ballinasloe, yesterday.

Mercy Woodford had the vital winning goal on 40 minutes from Declan Garvey, the victors then adding three more points.
