Jordan will this week try out a number of new developments in a four-day test session at Monza ahead of the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday week. Technical head Gary Anderson, reflecting on the team's excellent finish at Spa, said that the result could be accredited to a vastly expanded engineering development programme.
"There are now 35 in the design department and it means that we can run an effective race team, develop next year's car and also bring on a lot of new parts every month to improve the 197."
"We want to win this year," said Anderson. "And I think our best chances are coming up. Monza will suit us but so will Suzuka."
The next four days will be the last long test of the season and the new aerodynamic package, new hydraulic differential and some suspension changes will form the core package to allow the Jordan drivers take their car to the win they now not just hope for, but feel they deserve.
