Sigerson Cup: UU Jordanstown 4-12, Sligo IT 0-10Two first-half goals from Mayo senior Andy Moran set UUJ up for a comfortable win in this second-round game at Ballinode yesterday.

Jordanstown had a third goal through Down's James McGovern to give the Ulster side a 3-5 to 0-6 interval lead.

UUJ stretched their lead after the resumption with points from Raymond Mulgrew, Colm Cavanagh and Mark Lynch but by that stage the game was long over as a contest.

Goalkeeper Michael McAllister saved a penalty from Sligo's Alan Costello in the 45th minute after Colm Boyle was brought down and the home side's forgettable afternoon was complete when substitute Paddy Cunningham rounded the IT goalkeeper for a simple goal.
