Patricia Moran, playing off a handicap of 16, was a popular winner of the captain's (Pat Glennon) prize to the ladies with 39 points at Elm Park last week. Moran, a teacher at Notre Dame School, had 20 points on the first nine and 19 on the way home which included a birdie and seven pars. Linda O'Gorman, with a handicap of 19, had the best score of the day but as a student member had to settle for second place with 40 points after halves of 22 and 18 points. O'Gorman, who had her handicap reduced from 32 to 19 now moves to 17, the same mark as her mother Ethel O'Gorman. The gross was won by former Curtis Cup player and team captain Ita Butler with 29 points.
