Tommy Smyth is a busy man. The Co Louth immigrant gives American TV channel ESPN a distinct Irish feel when he commentates and gives his views on soccer matches to viewers of the sports cable network. Also seen and heard on Britain's Channel 5 every Thursday, Tommy is nothing if not prolific. Two weeks ago he commentated on 18 games from a studio over seven days, mostly Euro 2000 matches. That's almost two and a half games a day - the sort of productivity that would make Montrose blanche.
