Robert Murphy suffered a frustrating defeat at the hands of number two seed Bjorn Haneveer in Carlow last night to miss out on a place in the final of the World under-21 snooker championship.
The Irish number three had matched the Belgian tooth and nail up to the 12th frame, at which stage it was 6-6. But in the 13th frame, Haneveer completed a superb 142 clearance and he then wrapped things up in the next.
Joining Haneveer in today's best-of-21-frames final is the number one seed Marco Fu from Hong Kong who defeated Andrew Norman of England.
