Arsenal have won their battle to sign Spanish superkid Fernando Macedo da Silva - known as `Nano'.

The Spanish Football Federation has rubber-stamped the 17-year-old midfielder's move from Barcelona, but there are concerns in Spain about young talent being poached by overseas clubs.

Federation chief Gerardo Gonzalez said: "A footballer has a fundamental right to play where he wants and we cannot go against that."
