Bohemians v Derry City (Tolka Park, 7.45)

League leaders Derry City put their 100 per cent record on the line tonight, and manager Kevin Mahon stresses he won't change their winning approach.

"Bohemians will naturally be hoping to knock us off the top of the table," says Mahon, "but every other team will have the same aspirations and that suits us fine.

"We're travelling to Dublin to win. We're not interested in defending and holding out for a draw.

"That's been our policy since the start and we've proved that by the results we've earned so far. It's worked well for us and I see no reason to change that approach." Mahon may have to make several enforced changes from the side which were a little fortunate to take all three points in a tight game with Shamrock Rovers last week.

Striker Gary Beckett is nursing bruised ribs after his collision with Rovers goalkeeper Tony O'Dowd, while midfielder James Quigley, who has a knee injury, is an even greater concern for Mahon. Floyd Gilmore and Shaun Gallagaher won't travel due to ankle and shin problems respectively, but Eamonn Doherty should play despite a niggling hamstring strain.

Bohemians manager Roddy Collins is excited by his new signing, Trinidad and Tobago defender, Avery John. John (24), played for Trinidad and Tobago against Colombia in Miami on Wednesday night and won't arrive in Dublin until next week.
