Longford Town v St Patrick's Athletic (Saturday, 7.30pm): - St Patrick's Athletic hope to include new signing Stephen Brennan in their squad for the trip to Longford Town tonight. Former Newcastle United and Shelbourne defender Brennan should be involved pending his registration.
"Looking at the (Derry) game last week, I think it was probably the strongest team I've had out since I came back to the club as manager," said John McDonnell, who has been in charge since May 2004. "I just felt we were strong in all areas of the pitch. I'm really only kind of getting a full handle on being able to put my own team together now.
"I feel I'm getting there, slowly but surely. I want to finish off this season strongly and finish as high up the table as we can. That can bring us into the start of next year with a good foundation on which to build."
The suspended Stephen Quigley is the only absentee tonight.
Longford, still well in contention for third place, welcome back defender Seán Dillon from a virus and winger Alan Kirby from a rib injury.
