Cork SFC Final/Nemo Rangers 1-14 Muskerry 0-7: Nemo Rangers experienced little difficulty in winning their 14th Cork senior football title in front of a 6,000 crowd at Páirc Uí Chaoimh yesterday.

Muskerry started brightly and landed points through Gary O'Halloran and DD Dorgan. They levelled for a third time inside 13 minutes when Cathal Sheehan equalised with a point. Alas, Muskerry couldn't score again in the half as Nemo got to grips with the heavy going, working the ball downfield and James Masters punished over-zealous tackling.

Alan Cronin edged Nemo in front before Masters pointed three frees. Then Derek Kavanagh found the range from 40 metres and David Niblock completed the sequence for Nemo's 0-8 to 0-3 interval lead.

Muskerry rejigged their defence for the second half but it had little effect. Muskerry kicked their first score in 23 minutes when O'Halloran landed his second point only for Nemo to respond. Masters pointed a free and substitute Paul Kerrigan extended the lead to 0-10 to 0-4.

Sheehan's point reduced the deficit but in the space of two minutes Masters and Seán O'Brien pointed and William Morgan added a goal in the 49th minute. Alan Morgan, son of Cork coach Billy Morgan, scored Nemo's final point.
