The IRFU yesterday announced appointments to six newly-created positions within their Rugby Development framework. There are now four redefined provincial development managers - Phil Lawlor (Leinster), Mark McDermott (Munster), Tommy Conneely (Connacht) and Rab Gregg (Ulster).
Hendrick Kruger will become the National Youth Development Manager, while John Murphy will be the National Schools Development Manager.
"The new appointments are in line with the IRFU's strategic development plan and give a clear indication of the commitment of the IRFU to the planned development of the game within Ireland," claimed the IRFU's outgoing Director of Rugby Development, Ray Southama.
"It is intended to appoint administrative support and additional development officers in the future," he added.
