World Cup: Dutch name Davids and de Boer
Dutch coach Louis van Gaal has kept faith with Frank de Boer and Edgar Davids by including them in his squad for a World Cup qualifier against Estonia. Both De Boer and Davids tested positive for the banned substance nandrolone in early March.
Van Gaal added a new name to a 19man squad for Saturday's match by calling up Schalke 04 midfielder Niels Oude Kamphuis.
There was no place for Inter Milan's Clarence Seedorf or PSV Eindhoven duo Arnold Bruggink and Wilfred Bouma. Manchester United defender Jaap Stam is injured.
Wes Brown's stop-start international career suffered another hiatus yesterday when the Manchester United defender withdrew from Sven-Goran Eriksson's England squad for next week's World Cup qualifier in Greece.
Brown, who made his England debut in 1999 but has played only twice since, suffered an achilles strain prior to Friday's 40 win over Mexico.
Wales manager Mark Hughes has even greater problems. With both Craig Bellamy (injured) and Rob Edwards (who had already booked a holiday in Hawaii) certain to miss next week's World Cup qualifier against Poland, the Leicester midfielder Robbie Savage faces a race against time to prove his fitness after arriving late for training yesterday following a family holiday.
