The Niarchos family have complied to a request from trainer Andre Fabre and have decided to remove the four horses they have in training with him. Matters came to ahead earlier in the week when Fabre said that Cash Asmussen, the retained jockey of the Niarchos family, would never ride for him again.
Fabre's comments are believed to be a thinly veiled condemnation of the way in which Asmussen hindered the chance of Peintre Celebre - an odds-on failure (second) in the Prix Niel last Sunday.
Asmussen was accused of keeping the hot favourite trapped on the rails and doing his utmost to get the French Derby winner beaten.
Alan Cooper, racing manager to the Niarchos family, said: "We are reacting to a request from Monsieur Fabre. Basically, we don't want to have horses trained by someone who doesn't want to train them."
Entrepreneur makes his long-awaited return to the track today at Ascot. Michael Stoute is giving the colt his first public appearance since his defeat in the Vodafone Derby in a racecourse gallop with two stable-companions this morning.
The news raises the possibility that Entrepreneur could be set for a re-match with 2,000 Guineas runner-up Revoque in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes back at Ascot a week on Saturday.
