A total of 42 horses have been declared at the five-day stage for the £27,500-added Coral Sprint Trophy (Handicap) at York on Saturday.
Trainer David Nicholls has enjoyed tremendous success in sprint handicaps this season and has made three entries for the six-furlong contest - Fire Dome, Pepperdine, who won the William Hill Trophy over course and distance in June, and Double Oscar, who holds an engagement at Catterick today.
Nicholls's wife Alex Greaves said: "Fire Dome and Pepperdine go but with Double Oscar it depends how he does tomorrow.
"Kieren Fallon has been provisionally booked for Pepperdine while I will ride Fire Dome."
Grey Kingdom, winner of the Ladbroke (Ayr) Silver Cup, could clash again with Princely Dream, Tom Tun and Lady Boxer who filled the places behind him at the Scottish course.
Trainer Richard Fahey is leaning towards running Princely Dream in Saturday's race.
