Basketball: Only five games in the men's ESB Superleague this weekend, but two of those will have a large bearing on the current leadership as Notre Dame are on court twice - and two victories would see them join Star of the Sea at the top of the table.
Star are not in action, nor are second-placed Neptune, so the attention will clearly fall on Notre Dame. After winning their last eight games they are very much in the form to join the leaders, and neither Tolka Rovers tonight, nor Tralee Tigers on Sunday, will be looking forward to their visit to the ESB Arena in Tallaght.
Notre Dame are also at full strength, and for Tolka, currently third from last in the league table, the challenge is sure to be too much.
Tralee will hardly be much more confident, as they went down at home last weekend to bottom-placed Waterford, and doubts still surround the fitness of Rik Leonard and Liam Cullity.
Though their title hopes are pretty much doomed, St Vincent's will hope to get back to winning ways when they travel to UCC Demons on Sunday - as will UCD Marian when they visit Tolka Rovers tomorrow.
In the women's Superleague, the focus is on the University of Limerick as they meet St Paul's, the only team to beat this college team this season. UL do have the advantage of a full squad, while Catriona O'Connell looks set to be absent for St Paul's.
