Longford Town 2 Bray Wanderers 1: Longford picked up their first home win of the league season at Flancare Park on Saturday as Bray tasted defeat for the first time in their campaign.
The visitors went in front after only 12 minutes through Jody Lynch. Longford conceded a corner and Colm Tresson's delivery was clinically dispatched by Lynch.
There was little Bray goalkeeper Chris O'Connor could do to deny Dessie Baker in the 53rd minute. Baker ran onto to Danny O'Connor's through ball before rifling the ball into the roof of the Bray net.
Longford got the winning goal in the 82nd minute. Alan Kirby crossed for O'Connor and the defender was accurate with his header.
