Castleknock College 20 Cistercian, Roscrea 0:FULLBACK Conor O'Shea helped himself to a brace of tries as Castleknock College ran out comfortable winners at Newbridge College yesterday afternoon.

Castleknock outhalf Cían Doddy got the scoring underway with a 22nd-minute penalty and it wasn’t long before his team went over for their first of three tries.

From the restart, Roscrea moved the ball towards the Castleknock line but once the ball was turned over, Luke Reilly led a breakaway that went the length of the pitch and ended with O’Shea going over in the right corner.

Doddy landed his conversion and he had another chance in front of the posts 10 minutes later following Ryan Merrells’s try, but this time around he failed to hit the target.

O’Shea added his second try, and Castleknock’s third, three minutes after the restart and that was the end of the scoring despite Roscrea’s best efforts to give their enthusiastic support something to really cheer about.
